Ashwin was born and brought up in the city of forts and mountains, Dindigul, his inspiration towards architecture and design comes from his native Chettinad known for its glory and architecture. Tales of their exquisite exteriors and intricate interiors have always been fascinating and etched in his memory. Stories about the beautiful storeys as narrated by his forefathers, about every mansion in his native is still lingering around. He grew up as a witness to the architectural marvels of those Chettinad houses that had Burmese teakwood doors, Belgian glasses, Italian marbles, Spanish tiles etc. The exotic structures were made with materials that ensured longevity and encourage natural light and ventilation which is beneficial for the resident’s health. These mansions were a combination of vibrant colours, grandeur, rich wooden carvings, aesthetically pleasing designs, local craftsmanship
Inspired by the architectural beauty that surrounded him in his younger days, it is no wonder that Ashwin took up Architecture as his core profession with lot of love and passion. He pursued graduation in Architecture from the prestigious Mohamed Sathak academy of architecture. His Professional training under O.A.K at Bengaluru provided him the experience of diverse cultures and backgrounds, researching on the culturally evolved Indian built spaces.
His projects are beautifully textured and visually stunning that are both functional and decorative. When enquired about his magical touch, he humbly points out to the environment he was brought up in and those magical wonders that are vibrant till date.
